On Friday the 4th July Antonescos Sheltered Housing had a Singapore evening26 of us, sat down to a Singapore meal in the garden of our Sheltered Housing Complex. The setting was tranquil with the scent from the wonderful Mediterranean flowers, sitting by candle light on a warm summers evening.
The meal was cooked by one of our clients Jin Kin and helped by her husband John, Rosemary the scheme manager and Mary the deputy scheme manger.
The meal consisted of 15 dishes. Here are some of the dishes that we had:
Mince Pork with Water Chestnuts and Bamboo Shoots (delicious)
Chicken in Soya Sauce (mouth watering)
Beef Curry (Succulent)
Chicken Curry (Wonderful flavour)
Mixed Vegetables in Coconut Milk (Coconut Milk bought out the flavour of the vegetables)
Several different rice and noodle dishes
Chili and Coriander Prawns and Squid (spectacular)
We finished off with Fresh Fruit, Sweet Melon, Cherries, Grapes and Ice Cream. When the evening finished we all went home very happy and with full tummies. Due to the great success of the evening Antonescos Sheltered Housing are already planning more events for our clients.
